About St. Alphonsa Syro-Malabar Catholic Church
St. Alphonsa Syro-Malabar Catholic Church is a Catholic parish in Coppell serving the Syro-Malabar community around Dallas. It began in 2007 as an outstation unit, was established on Oct. 12, 2009, the day of Saint Alphonsa’s canonization, and was erected as a parish in March 2010. The church was expanded in 2014. Worship is centered on the Holy Qurbana, with Sunday liturgies in Malayalam and English and additional weekday services. Fr. Mathews Munjanath serves as pastor/vicar. Parish life includes CCD, children’s ministry, youth group, Young Adult Ministry, Youth Choir, Legion of Mary, Women’s Forum, and the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
