About The Well Community
The Well Community is a Baptist-affiliated nonprofit ministry in Dallas, Texas, founded in 2002 to serve adults living with severe and chronic mental illnesses. Through its Community Life Center, open Monday through Wednesday, the organization provides a restorative environment offering life-skills training, spiritual devotions, case management, and meaningful community connections. The Well also hosts Thursday Night Life, a weekly worship service with singing, prayer, and Bible teaching followed by a shared meal, held at Cliff Temple Baptist Church. Beyond these core programs, the Well operates Jacob's House, a residential program providing safe housing and structured support for men, and offers community education to help Dallas residents understand and support those affected by mental illness. Rooted in faith and the philosophy of acceptance and friendship, the Well Community seeks to restore hope and dignity to those who have experienced stigma and isolation.
