About Umphress Road United Methodist Church
Umphress Road United Methodist Church in Dallas is a welcoming congregation rooted in a rich history of diverse ministry. Originally founded as Centenary United Methodist Church in 1902, the church merged with First Filipino American United Methodist Church in 1991 to become a true rainbow congregation serving the Pleasant Grove community. Today, Umphress Road UMC is dedicated to embodying the spirit of Christ through inclusive ministry, spiritual growth, and outreach to all people regardless of background, age, or stage of life. The church offers Sunday worship via Zoom from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m., Sunday School at 1:00 p.m., and various ministries including children's programs, youth activities, and community outreach through partnerships like the Shalom Zone. Under the leadership of Pastor Ken Park, the congregation continues its mission to make disciples for Christ and serve as a place of refuge and healing in the community.
