Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church in El Campo, Texas has served the community since its founding around 1917 by a group of dedicated believers who sought to establish a house of worship in their city. The church stands as an active member of the Mt. Zion District Association and the Colorado Baptist Association, committed to spreading the Gospel and supporting those in need. Beyond Sunday services, Pilgrim Rest operates the Labor of Love Food Pantry, which distributes groceries to over 150 families on the first Thursday of each month, and has maintained an After School Activities Program since 1990 that provides tutoring and transportation to at-risk youth. The congregation describes itself as a body of born-again, Bible believers dedicated to obeying Jesus Christ, caring for one another, and reaching lost souls while serving their community.
