About The Village Church
The Village Church is a non-denominational congregation located in Flower Mound, Texas, with a rich history dating back to 1845 when the Southern Baptist Convention formed a missionary organization to take the gospel westward. The church's current iteration began in 2002 when Matt Chandler was hired as lead pastor at what was then Highland Village First Baptist Church, leading to its transformation into The Village Church. The congregation is dedicated to its mission of loving God, loving people, and making disciples of Jesus Christ across all ages and stages of life. The Village Church emphasizes community connection through its First Steps class for new members, held the first Sunday of each month, and offers multiple ways for visitors and members to engage through volunteer opportunities, classes, and local missions work. The church welcomes newcomers and encourages them to connect through their TVC Pathway program, which helps people navigate opportunities and build community within the congregation.
