About Church of Christ

Church of Christ in Forestburg has served God in the community since the late 1800s. The congregation first met under a large live oak tree near the old Post Office site, and in 1882 W.W. Givens, Cam Royal, Tom Dolphit, and Barry White built a building for the church. The congregation moved to its present site in 1920. The current building includes classrooms, restrooms, a fellowship area, butane heat, Tex-Crete blocks, and a modern baptistery. The church gathers for Sunday Bible Class and for Wednesday Bible Class and Devotional, and also hosts singing nights, gospel meetings, and other events.
