About Mary Queen Catholic Church
Mary Queen Catholic Church in Friendswood, Texas is served by the Missionaries of Our Lady of La Salette, a religious order dedicated to the message of reconciliation through faith in Jesus Christ. Founded as a mission chapel in 1966 and elevated to parish status in 1969, the church has grown to serve over 2,500 registered families in this community that expanded significantly with the establishment of NASA's Johnson Space Center. The parish moved into its new church building in 2012 and remains rooted in the La Salette charism of reaching out to those who feel alienated or estranged from the faith. Visitors are invited to join the community for worship and to explore the parish's various ministries, including a memorial prayer garden and active parish calendar of events.
