About Friendship House

Friendship House, a relief ministry sponsored by First Baptist Church of Garland, was organized in 1977 to help meet the physical needs of those who are out of work, physically disabled, or low income. They serve the Garland, Rowlett, and Sachse communities by providing food, clothing, household items, and referrals to other resources.

First-Time Visitor Info for Friendship House

Friendship House is open Mondays through Thursdays, with hours ranging from 9am to 8pm. Clients are served on a first-come, first-served basis and should bring a photo ID and recent proof of residence, such as a utility bill.

Volunteers are needed to help with interviewing clients, assisting in the clothing area, and restocking supplies. If you have 2-3 hours per week to share the love of Christ with the community, please consider volunteering.
