About Methodist First
Hawkins First United Methodist Church has served the Hawkins and southeast Wood County community since 1885, when its founding Methodist community received the property as a gift. The church remains a vibrant congregation committed to the Methodist principle of "Open Hearts, Open Minds and Open Doors," welcoming all people regardless of background or prior knowledge of God. Grounded in Wesleyan theology and the mission to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world, the church emphasizes both personal faith and service to the broader community. Sunday worship takes place at 10:00 a.m. in the sanctuary, with Sunday School at 8:45 a.m. and a gathering time at 9:30 a.m., all held in Young Hall.
