About A Safe Place Church
A Safe Place Church is a Baptist congregation in Houston led by Pastor Stan Phill. The church traces its beginning to April 27, 2002, when 17 people gathered for its first charter member’s meeting, followed by its first worship experience on May 5, 2002, in the Flamingo Room at the University of Houston–Hilton Hotel. Its vision is rooted in Matthew 28:19-20, and its mission statement comes from Luke 4:18. The church affirms the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ and describes its church family as a safe place to praise, worship, and heal.
