The Episcopal Church of the Redeemer in Irving is a vibrant and progressive Christian community that welcomes all persons regardless of race, color, gender, sexual orientation, age, ability, or socio-economic class. Located in a north Irving residential neighborhood, the church traces its roots to a Normandy-styled manor house dedicated in 1965 and has since expanded to include three buildings serving worship, discipleship, and service. The congregation describes itself as a family of engaged, loving, and intellectually curious people who cherish diversity and take part in lively discussion while actively sharing the love of Christ through community involvement and outreach. Worship is offered at two times on Sundays—a spoken service at 8:00 AM and a service with music and singing at 10:30 AM—with additional spiritual formation opportunities throughout the week including Bible study, Sunday school for children and adults, and various community events.

Dress Code: You are welcome to wear whatever makes you most comfortable, from jeans and tees to Sunday best. Service Format: The 8:00 AM service is spoken, while the 10:30 AM service includes music and hymn singing; bulletins and the Book of Common Prayer are provided, and you will typically stand to sing, sit to listen, stand or kneel to pray, and walk to the altar rail for Holy Communion or a blessing. Visitor Tips: Pick up a bulletin from an usher as you enter, feel free to participate as much or as little as you wish, and join the congregation in the parish hall between services for coffee and snacks—if you would like follow-up hospitality, fill out the welcome card in the pew pocket and drop it in the offering plate or give it to an usher.
