About Japanese Mission Church of Dallas
The Japanese Mission Church of Dallas is a Southern Baptist congregation founded in 1968, making it one of the oldest Japanese churches in the Dallas area. Originally beginning as a Japanese language class within Dallas First Baptist Church's International Sunday School, the church evolved into the Japanese Chapel and eventually became an independent mission church in 2012, dedicated to sharing the Gospel with the Japanese community. Services are conducted in Japanese with simultaneous English interpretation, welcoming people of all backgrounds to participate in worship. The church meets weekly at the Wesley Chapel of the Korean Central United Methodist Church in Irving and emphasizes the unity of Christ's body through the love demonstrated at the cross. Following each service, the congregation gathers for fellowship, light refreshments, and tea in a multicultural setting that reflects the church's inclusive spirit.
