Heritage Baptist Church, founded in 2001 and located on the south side of Jefferson just outside the city limits, is pastored by Seth Buckner. The church draws members from Jefferson and surrounding communities including Atlanta, Longview, Marshall, and Henderson. Heritage offers Bible classes for all ages, traditional music, and expository preaching from the King James Version. The congregation actively supports missionary work both domestically and internationally, operates a nursing home ministry, and provides a basketball ministry as a community outreach. The church has recently expanded its facilities with the purchase of additional acreage to support future growth and continued ministry.
