About Immanuel Lutheran Church
Immanuel Lutheran Church in Killeen has served the community for over 135 years, beginning in 1886 when a group of Lutheran Christians gathered for worship under the leadership of traveling missionary Rev. C. Kreutzenstein. The congregation was officially organized in 1889 and has grown from its humble beginnings in a small frame church to its current sanctuary, which was dedicated in 2014. Today, Immanuel welcomes all to worship with Holy Communion every Sunday at 10:30 AM under the leadership of Interim Pastor Kathee Forrest. The church actively engages its community through various ministries, including quilting groups, Bible study, Cub Scouts, and support for local organizations like the Hope Pregnancy Center. Immanuel proclaims a God who loves you and invites visitors to join in worship and fellowship.
