About La Vernia Church of Christ
La Vernia Church of Christ was established on October 2, 1988, when fifty Christians gathered at the Pizza Barn to hold the congregation's first assembly. What began as four families driving to a neighboring town for worship evolved into a permanent local congregation that moved to its current location on Industrial Drive within four months of its founding. Led by full-time minister Wayne Robbins since 2018 and guided by three elders installed in 2011, the church welcomes visitors seeking to grow closer to God through Bible study and worship. The congregation offers multiple opportunities for spiritual growth, including Sunday Bible classes, Sunday worship services, and Wednesday evening Bible classes.
