About Calvary Chapel
Calvary Chapel in Lubbock began in November 2003, when Pastor Ben moved from Rio Rancho, New Mexico, to begin the church. Its first gathering was a Wednesday night Bible study with one couple in an apartment clubhouse, and the congregation later moved to its current location at 42nd and Boston. The church describes itself as not denominational and gathers for contemporary worship, Sunday service, and a midweek Bible study. Children’s ministry is available, and the church offers a fully staffed nursery for young children.
