About Our Lady Of Sorrows Church-Main Offc
Our Lady of Sorrows Church in McAllen is a Catholic parish with roots reaching back to 1920, when it was originally named St. Patrick’s. It was renamed Our Lady of Sorrows in 1941, and its parish school opened in 1946 with 47 pupils. A new church was constructed in 1955, and Msgr. Gus Pacheco later oversaw construction of a larger church seating 1,300; the former church now serves as the chapel. Fr. Gregory Labus became pastor in September 2024. The parish offers Mass in English and Spanish, including weekend, daily, Spanish, and children’s Masses, along with children’s ministry and small groups.
