About St Mary's Knanaya Catholic Forane Church, Houston
St. Mary's Knanaya Catholic Forane Church serves the Knanaya Catholic community across Houston, Sugar Land, Missouri City, Stafford, and southeastern Texas. Founded in 1994 as a mission and elevated to parish status in 2011, the church now serves approximately 860 families. The parish offers liturgical services in the Syro-Malabar and Syro-Malankara Rites, with Qurbana (Mass) celebrated in both Malayalam and English at various times throughout the week. Beyond worship, St. Mary's provides religious education through its Catechism School, spiritual formation through numerous novenas and adoration hours, and community engagement through ministries for all ages including men's, women's, youth, and teen groups, as well as pious associations like the Legion of Mary and St. Vincent de Paul Society.
