About First Baptist Church

First Baptist Church of Perryton has served the community since its establishment in 1906, originally as First Baptist Ochiltree before relocating to Perryton. Founded through the missionary work of Elihu Newton, the church has grown for over a century with a strong emphasis on mission work, both locally and internationally, including commissioning a team to serve in Lesotho, Africa in 2016. As a Christ-centered, Bible-based congregation affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention, the Baptist General Convention of Texas, and the Top O Texas Association, First Baptist Perryton welcomes people from every walk of life. The church is committed to reaching and ministering to the Perryton community while advancing the Great Commission through worship, teaching, and service.
