About First Baptist Church
First Baptist Church of Perryton is a Baptist congregation with roots reaching back to 1906, when it was established as First Baptist Ochiltree. The church later moved to Perryton, where it continues to serve the community. Its history began through the work of missionary Elihu Newton, who was also its first pastor. FBC Perryton is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention, the Baptist General Convention of Texas, and the Top O Texas Association. The church has a blended worship style, offers Sunday School classes before Sunday morning worship, and includes children’s ministry among its programs. In 2016, the church commissioned a team to serve in Lesotho, Africa.
