St. Philopateer Coptic Orthodox Church has served the Richardson, Texas community since 2001, growing from the expansion needs of the earlier St. Mary Coptic Orthodox Church in Colleyville. The church is named after St. Philopateer Mercurius, a third-century Christian martyr, and maintains the faith and teachings of the Apostolic Era within the Coptic Orthodox tradition. The congregation celebrates its heritage through fellowship, educational programs including catechism classes and Sunday school, and regular sacramental life. The church is currently undertaking a significant dome project anticipated for completion by Spring 2026. Visitors and families are warmly welcomed to experience the church's joy and community centered on Jesus Christ.
