About Episcopal Church-Good Shepherd
Good Shepherd is a continuing Episcopal congregation in San Angelo and a member of the worldwide Anglican Communion. The church traces its beginning to 1965, when 49 congregants of Emmanuel Episcopal Church petitioned to form a mission church, the Episcopal Church of The Good Shepherd. The congregation describes the radical hospitality of Jesus Christ as shaping everything it does. After a years-long lawsuit resolved in 2022, Good Shepherd continues as a small but fierce congregation sharing gifts of time and service in service to God and the community. Its current physical location marked a five-year anniversary in January 2020.
