About St Anthony The Great Church
St. Anthony the Great Orthodox Christian Church is part of the ancient Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Antioch and serves the north Houston community on FM 2920. Founded in 1982 as an outreach mission and formally established in 1983, the parish has grown into a vibrant, pan-Orthodox faith community that welcomes members from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds as well as converts from Western traditions. The church emphasizes living out Christ's two greatest commandments—to love God and to love one's neighbor—and describes itself as a bright example of authentic, undiluted Christian faith rooted in the ancient apostolic tradition. Visitors of all backgrounds are warmly invited to join the community for worship and prayer.
