About St Martin's Church
St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in West, Texas, is a liturgical Catholic parish and the second oldest Catholic church in McLennan County. Its roots go back to settlers who arrived from Teutopolis, Illinois, in 1872; the settlement was named Martinsville after their arrival on November 11, the Feast of St. Martin of Tours. The parish continues as a worshiping community seeking to live its Catholic faith based on Christian values. Rev. Walter Dhanwar IM serves as pastor. Mass is offered on the weekend and during the week, including First Friday and First Saturday Masses.
