Anchor Baptist Church is an independent Baptist congregation located in Windcrest, Texas, near I-35 in the northeast part of San Antonio. Founded in November 1991 as Wetmore Road Baptist Church, the congregation has been under the pastoral leadership of Howard M. Vickery since its inception and relocated to its current location in December 2008. The church emphasizes the authority of Scripture, the centrality of Jesus Christ, and the proclamation of the Gospel. Worship services feature hymn singing from Rejoice Hymns and expository teaching from the King James Version, with the church also actively supporting missionary work around the world.
