About LDS Genesis Group Meetinghouse
LDS Genesis Group Meetinghouse in Draper, Utah serves as a multi-stake activity group dedicated to supporting African-American Latter-day Saints and their families. Established in October 1971 by the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Genesis Group has remained a vital community resource following the 1978 priesthood revelation. The group hosts monthly meetings on the first Sunday and various activities designed to strengthen faith in Jesus Christ, foster unity, and build belonging among members and friends. Under the direction of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles and the Utah Area Presidency, Genesis Group provides assistance to stake presidents, bishops, ward organizations, and mission presidents throughout the region. Led by President Ronell Hugh and his counseling team, the group continues its mission to edify all Latter-day Saints and those interested in learning about the restored Church.
