About Utah Food for Families

Utah Food for Families is a non-denominational evangelical Christian organization established in July 2020 to provide spiritual and physical aid to families throughout the Greater Salt Lake area. Operating from Calvary Salt Lake in Murray, the ministry distributes food boxes, fresh produce, and groceries each Thursday evening to those facing economic hardship. Beyond food provision, Utah Food for Families emphasizes developing meaningful relationships and offering prayer and spiritual guidance to visitors. The organization also hosts Celebrate Recovery, a biblically-based support group for those struggling with life's challenges, and a children's program focused on Christian education. Since its inception during the COVID-19 pandemic, the ministry has served hundreds of thousands of individuals by partnering with organizations like the Utah Food Bank to ensure nutritious resources reach families in need.
