About Rising Star Outreach
Rising Star Outreach is a nonprofit organization based in Provo, Utah, dedicated to empowering individuals and families affected by leprosy in India. Since 2001, the organization has been working to eradicate the devastating effects of leprosy through a comprehensive three-pronged approach encompassing quality education, medical care, and community development. The organization operates across 200 leprosy colonies in nine Indian states, providing mobile medical clinics, educational programs from kindergarten through twelfth grade at the Peery Matriculation School, and infrastructure projects that foster economic rehabilitation and self-sufficiency. In 2024 alone, Rising Star Outreach administered over 45,000 medical treatments, supported the education of 800 children, and maintained 380 micro-grants for small businesses. Visitors and supporters are invited to engage through various programs including the STARS sponsorship initiative, expedition trips to India, and community funding opportunities.
