About Prophet Elias
Prophet Elias is a Greek Orthodox church serving the Salt Lake City area as part of the Greek Orthodox Church of Greater Salt Lake. The church welcomes visitors exploring Orthodox Christianity and invites them to experience the ancient, reverent worship tradition that has been preserved since the day of Pentecost. Sunday Divine Liturgy begins at 10:00 AM, with a pre-service (Orthros/Matins) starting at 9:00 AM. The parish community gathers in the fellowship hall after service for fellowship and conversation. Visitors are also invited to join the weekly Orthodoxy 101 class held on Thursdays at 7:00 PM in the St. Sophia Boardroom for those wishing to deepen their understanding of the Orthodox Christian faith.
