About Abingdon Bible Church
Abingdon Bible Church is an independent, Bible-believing community church located on the west side of Abingdon, Virginia, across from Abingdon Elementary School. The church exists to glorify God by equipping disciples to make disciples in the community and around the world, with core values centered on evangelism, discipleship, missions, prayerful dependence on God, biblical worldview, Christ-exalting worship, and intergenerational relationships. Sunday morning worship begins at 9:30am and features whole-hearted worship, biblical teaching, and meaningful community fellowship, with expository preaching and a variety of songs filled with rich theology. The church offers comprehensive ministries for children, students, and adults, including Sunday school classes for all ages, nursery care, Awana Clubs, student Bible studies, and various adult lifegroups and fellowship opportunities. Visitors will find a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere where the church family loves God and loves each other, with additional activities throughout the week including Wednesday fellowship suppers and mid-week Bible studies.

Dress Code: The church cares more about your heart than the clothes you wear, so come in whatever suits you best and you'll find a variety of dress among the family. Service Format: The typical Sunday morning service consists of worshiping together in song, prayer, fellowship, and the preaching of God's Word, lasting about an hour and twenty minutes, with the Lord's Supper observed on the first Sunday of each month. Visitor Tips: Guest parking is available at the front of the building, with covered drop-off on the left side; coffee and hot beverages are available in the Welcome Center after the service; children are invited to play in the supervised gymnasium during the 15-20 minute fellowship time before Sunday school at 11:10am; and nursery care is provided for infants through age 3 throughout the morning.
