About Christian Science
First Church of Christ, Scientist in Alexandria welcomes visitors to experience Christian Science, a Bible-based faith centered on the practical teachings of Christ Jesus and spiritual healing. The church serves as a gathering place for a community seeking to understand God's laws and their application to daily life, offering support through Sunday services and Sunday School for children and teens. Christian Science teaches that the systematic, logical approach to healing demonstrated by Jesus remains accessible and practicable today, addressing physical health, mental well-being, and moral renewal. The congregation emphasizes that spiritual understanding brings relief from fear, anxiety, and destructive patterns while fostering a loving, supportive community environment. Visitors are invited to explore how Christian Science's emphasis on God as Love translates into tangible transformation and healing in the modern world.
