About Shiloh Baptist Church
Shiloh Baptist Church is a historic congregation founded in 1863 by formerly enslaved African Americans in Old Town Alexandria. Led by Rev. Dr. Taft Quincey Heatley, the church has grown to over 40 ministries serving the community. Worship at Shiloh emphasizes bold Bible preaching, passionate praise and worship, and the church's core mission for members to be W.H.O.L.E. in Jesus Christ—incorporating worship, healing, obedience, love, and empowerment. The church welcomes visitors of all backgrounds and offers in-person and online worship options, along with ministries for children, youth, and adults seeking to deepen their faith and community connection.
