About St Thomas More Center

St. Thomas More Cathedral School serves the Arlington, Virginia Catholic community with a comprehensive K-12 educational mission rooted in Catholic values and academic excellence. The school enrolls approximately 470 students with a 16:1 student-to-teacher ratio and maintains an average class size of 22 students, creating an environment where individual learners receive meaningful attention. The student body reflects the diverse character of the region, with 80 percent identifying as Catholic and 30 percent representing minority backgrounds, while 20 percent of families have military connections. The school is known for its innovative partnerships, including a groundbreaking collaboration with NASA in which students designed, built, and launched a CubeSatellite into space—a distinction held as the first elementary school to accomplish this achievement. Beyond academics, St. Thomas More offers over 45 after-school enrichment activities encompassing CYO sports, scouts, and clubs, fostering spiritual, intellectual, and social development. The community welcomes families seeking a Catholic educational foundation with strong academics and vibrant parish life.
