About Oak Level Baptist Church

Oak Level Baptist Church is a historic Baptist congregation in Bassett, Virginia, with roots tracing back to 1935 when community members gathered for prayer meetings and revival services. The church was officially organized on September 19, 1937, with 46 charter members, and the original small white frame building with handmade pews was constructed by devoted community volunteers during the summer and fall of 1937. Today, under the leadership of Interim Pastor Rev. Dr. Daniel Collins, the church continues its mission as a community of faith serving a God who still answers prayer. The congregation gathers for Sunday school at 9:45 AM, followed by corporate prayer at 10:45 AM and worship in the sanctuary at 11:00 AM, with additional opportunities for spiritual growth through Wednesday evening prayer and Bible study at 6:00 PM. Visitors are cordially invited to join the Oak Level Baptist community in worship and experience their long-standing tradition of faithful service.
