About Kingswood United Methodist Church
Kingswood United Methodist Church, located in Bracey, Virginia, has served its community since its organization in October 1807 as Calvary Church. Relocated to its present site between 1833 and 1836, the church was renamed Kingswood after the King family who donated the land, and its sanctuary was constructed in 1888. Today, Kingswood offers Sunday worship services at 9:30 a.m. preceded by Sunday School for all ages and choir practice, with coffee and conversation following the service. The church maintains an active ministry including small group Bible studies, fellowship gatherings, the youth group FIRE (Faith in Reaching Everyone), and seasonal musical programs. Through the United Methodist Women and various community partnerships, Kingswood supports missions locally and abroad, including sponsorship of the Ray of Hope Food Pantry and ministries to nursing home residents. Visitors are warmly invited to join the church family for worship and fellowship.
