About Good Shepherd of The Hills Episcopal Church
Good Shepherd of the Hills Episcopal Church is located in Free Union, Virginia, serving the residents of northwestern Albemarle County, Boonesville, and Free Union as well as southwestern Greene County. The church represents one of the remaining Mountain Missions founded by Rev. Frederick W. Neve in the 19th century, continuing a legacy of Episcopal churches, clinics, and schools that have served the Blue Ridge Mountains. The parish is dedicated to representing and living God's love in the Blue Ridge through worship, prayer, and service. The church welcomes visitors to join its Sunday worship and also makes its Parish Hall available to the community for events such as retreats, wedding receptions, and family gatherings.
