About St Katharine Drexel Mission
St. Katharine Drexel Mission is a Catholic faith community in the Diocese of Arlington, serving the Gainesville and Haymarket areas of Virginia. Founded in 2000 as a "Mass of Convenience" at a local elementary school, the mission has grown into a vibrant worshiping community with its own dedicated church building, completed in October 2024 at 15000 Waterfall Road in Haymarket. The community is known for fostering a strong family atmosphere through fellowship events like coffee gatherings and annual galas, while supporting various ministries including the Knights of Columbus, Legion of Mary, and faith formation programs. Under the pastoral leadership of Reverend Christopher D. Murphy, St. Katharine Drexel welcomes visitors to join its multiple Sunday Mass offerings and active parish life.
