Willis United Methodist Church, founded before 1803 in eastern Henrico County, has served as a spiritual home for the community for over two centuries. The congregation, currently small but active with fewer than 150 members and average worship attendance of 50–60 people, is dedicated to its mission of finding, connecting, and transforming people into faithful disciples of Jesus Christ. Under the pastoral leadership of Rev. Dr. Arthur D. Thomas, the church offers a rich music program and maintains active ministries while remaining open and welcoming to all visitors, whether Methodist, Christian, or those with sincere questions about faith. Nestled amidst heritage farmland and historical grounds, Willis UMC provides a place where God's Word is preached, sacraments are administered, and believers of all ages gather to worship together.
