About Jerusalem Christian Church
Jerusalem Christian Church in King William traces its history to August 13, 1791, when it was organized as Lower College Baptist Church. The congregation was renamed Jerusalem Christian Church in 1842, shortly after a new brick meeting house was completed in late 1841. An educational wing was added in 1958 and enlarged in 1995, reflecting the church’s continuing life and work in the community. The congregation says it has served King William and the surrounding region for more than two centuries and continues to teach, preach, and live the teachings of the Bible.
