About Luray Church of Christ
Christ Episcopal Church in Luray, Virginia has served the community continuously since 1871, beginning with Reverend John Ambler and twelve communicants. The church moved to its current location at the corner of Amiss Avenue and Jamison Road in 1915 and was consecrated in 1922. Today, Christ Church strives to be affirming in fellowship, consistent in worship, and a faithful participant in the one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church. The congregation gathers for Holy Eucharist at 8am and 11am on Sundays, with children's and adult Sunday school at 10am, and a young adults Bible study every other week. Beyond worship, Christ Church has a deep commitment to community service, having established mission churches in the mountains and playing a founding role in Page One, a comprehensive charity serving thousands.
