About Brentwood Community Church
Waymaker.Church is a non-denominational community in Lynchburg, Virginia, with a 27-year history rooted in generational impact. Originally founded in 1998 as Brentwood Church to energize a small country congregation, the church rebranded in 2019 to reflect its calling as a Waymaker—removing obstacles and building bridges for people to become who God created them to be. The church emphasizes sacrificial love, welcoming all people lavishly into Jesus' redemptive family, and practices lifelong transformation through God's Word, Spirit, and community. Beyond Sunday worship, Waymaker.Church invests heavily in leadership multiplication through Waymaker Institute, foster care and adoption support through the Mosaic Mandate, and local and global outreach. The congregation also opens its recreation facilities—including pickleball courts, basketball court, playground, and walking trail—to the community daily, embodying their commitment to pouring out before pouring in.

Dress Code: Most people dress casually, but wear whatever makes you feel more comfortable. Service Format: Sunday morning worship services are 90 minutes, featuring dynamic and Spirit-led worship coupled with captivating teaching. Services are held at 9 am and 11 am at 1650 Hooper Road, Forest, VA 24551. Visitor Tips: First-time families should check in at the First-Time Families Check-In area after entering through the families' entrance; kids' programming is provided for Babies through 8th grade. All visitors are encouraged to stop by the New Here area upon arrival for guidance and a special gift. Discover Waymaker.Church, a one-time environment for newcomers, is available immediately following the 9 am service on the first Sunday of every month.
