About Windy Cove Presbyterian Church
Windy Cove Presbyterian Church is a historic landmark in Millboro, Virginia, located next to the Cowpasture River. Its current structure has stood for more than 200 years, and the congregation’s worship blends traditional and modern elements. The church serves local families through a Food Pantry, Food Truck, and Samaritan Fund. Its mission work includes long-term involvement in Haiti, where it has been active since 1984 and currently supports a school in the mountains. Windy Cove has also been involved with Montana Indian Ministries, including plans for a team trip there in June.

History & building
Founded in 1749
Windy Cove was founded by Scotch-Irish Presbyterians seeking freedom of worship and led by the Rev. Alexander Craighead. The present brick church and session house were built in 1838.
