The United House of Prayer for All People in Portsmouth, Virginia is an Apostolic congregation rooted in the foundational teachings of Jesus Christ and the apostolic faith. Under the leadership of Bishop A.D. Cunningham, the church welcomes all people regardless of race, creed, or color to participate in joyous worship and prayer. The congregation maintains a rich heritage dating back to its founding by Bishop C.M. Grace in 1919 and emphasizes the sanctity of God's house, respect for sacred worship practices, and training children in Christian values through various auxiliaries and Sunday School programs.
