Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church is the oldest Orthodox church in the Roanoke valley, established in 1928 by Greek immigrants seeking a spiritual home for the growing Orthodox Christian population of southwestern Virginia. Located at 30 Huntington Boulevard NE, the parish has maintained its vibrant witness for nearly a century, offering weekly services in both English and Greek while serving the broader Roanoke community through various ministries and cultural outreach. Under the leadership of Father Theodore Lyketsos, who arrived in 2023, the church continues its mission of worship, fellowship, and service rooted in ancient Orthodox tradition and contemporary pastoral care. Visitors of all backgrounds are welcomed, with trained ushers available to help newcomers feel comfortable and oriented during services.

Dress Code: Church dress code is "Sunday Best"—women typically wear skirts or dresses, men wear long pants and collared shirts. Service Format: Sunday services begin with Orthros at 9:00 AM, flowing directly into Divine Liturgy at 10:00 AM. Services include Gospel readings, hymns in both English and Greek, and Holy Communion for baptized and chrismated Orthodox Christians in good standing. All visitors receive blessed bread (Antidoron) at the end of the service, followed by coffee hour in the fellowship hall. Visitor Tips: Ushers trained to help newcomers are stationed inside the doors during Sunday services—simply introduce yourself upon arrival. The church recommends arriving for Orthros if possible but welcomes those attending only the Divine Liturgy. Parking is available in the back lot; enter through the front doors or the back door (turning right in the hall to reach the Narthex).
