About Braddock Street United Methodist Church
Braddock Street United Methodist Church is a United Methodist congregation in Winchester, Virginia, and part of the Virginia Conference. Its mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. The church emphasizes worship, small groups, and service as three main ways of discipleship, inviting people to grow in faith together and serve others in the community. Its ministries include children’s ministry, youth group, and small groups. Braddock Street also operates an Early Learning Center for families, open Monday through Friday from 7:15 AM to 5:45 PM, with Jenny McKenney as director and Kim Mihill as assistant director.

The church began in 1858 and laid the cornerstone for its first sanctuary that year. The first Christmas services were held in the new building’s basement, and the sanctuary was dedicated in July 1859.
