Eagle Harbor Congregational Church has welcomed seekers and believers to Bainbridge Island since 1882, now gathering in the historic clapboard sanctuary dedicated in 1903. This progressive UCC congregation takes Jesus seriously while holding itself lightly, embracing doubt, questions, and faith exploration alongside hymns, real music, and genuine community. Open & Affirming since 2008, the church extends full welcome to people of every sexual orientation, gender identity, race, ethnicity, age, ability, and faith background—whether lifelong church-goers or those deeply suspicious of organized religion. Sundays at 10 AM feature participatory worship both in person and via livestream, followed by coffee and fellowship. Children wiggle freely in the sanctuary, and the small island congregation knows one another and looks out for each other in the truest sense.

Dress Code: Come as you are—jeans, t-shirts, vestments, whatever you walked out the door in. Service Format: About 1–2 hours of singing (hymns old and new), real music with choir and piano, scripture, and a congregation that genuinely participates. Communion (gluten-free bread and grape juice) offered the first Sunday of each month to all who wish to receive it. Visitor Tips: Sit anywhere; no one will ask you to introduce yourself.
