About Burien Community Church
Burien Community Church is a welcoming and affirming Baptist congregation located in Burien, Washington, with roots tracing back to the merger of Gregory Heights Baptist Church and Columbia Baptist Church in the 1990s. As a radically inclusive community of faith, the church explicitly welcomes people of all backgrounds, including LGBTQ+ individuals, to full participation in congregational life and leadership. The congregation is affiliated with the Evergreen Association of American Baptist Churches, the Baptist Peace Fellowship of North America, and the Association of Welcoming and Affirming Baptists. Rooted in the Gospel's call to love God and neighbor while seeking justice for the disenfranchised and oppressed, Burien Community Church has served as a place where people from different ages, cultures, and denominational backgrounds journey together in faith. Please note that the church has made the difficult decision to close and is no longer gathering for worship.
