About Tierra Nueva
Tierra Nueva is an international Christian ministry based in Burlington, Washington, founded in 1982 and dedicated to sharing the good news of God's liberation, healing, and transformation with people on the margins, particularly those affected by immigration, incarceration, and addiction. The church integrates Scripture study, the empowering work of the Holy Spirit, and a commitment to addressing structural injustice and oppression. Tierra Nueva gathers for Sunday worship at 4:30 p.m. and offers weekly Bible studies and meetings throughout the week, including a recovery group and street outreach ministry. The church is also home to The People's Seminary, which trains ministry workers to serve excluded and marginalized communities locally, nationally, and internationally.
