About Christian Science Society
Christian Science Society in Friday Harbor is a longstanding Christian Science congregation with roots in informal services that began around 1915. The society purchased its building and incorporated in 1923, holding its first Sunday service on February 8 of that year. Sunday services have continued since then in an edifice originally built in 1900 by the Seventh Day Adventists. The church identifies the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures as its pastor. Along with Sunday Church Service and a midweek testimony meeting, the society has children’s and youth programs, and its reading room is open on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month and by appointment.
