About Good Shepherd Baptist Church
Good Shepherd Baptist Church is a Baptist congregation in Lynnwood with roots going back to 1960, when it began as a mission project from University Baptist Church of Seattle. Reverend Bernard Turner served as its first pastor, and 65 founding members signed the church charter in 1961. The church’s life in the community includes a notable commitment to housing: it donated 2.5 acres of property to support a senior housing project, and its campus now includes Shepherd’s Garden senior housing and Shepherd’s Village for houseless residents. Reverend Kenneth Gray became the current pastor in winter 2024. The church offers Sunday worship, children’s ministry, and small groups.
