About Ron Kempe
Peace Lutheran Church is a historic congregation founded in 1898 by German settlers in the Puyallup Valley, with its building originally constructed in 1892. As a Reconciling in Christ congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, Peace welcomes people of all races, ethnicities, gender identities, sexual orientations, abilities, and backgrounds into authentic belonging and community. The church gathers weekly around word and sacrament, offering a variety of worship styles enriched by multiple music leaders including organ, piano, and the Cornerstones praise band. Sunday services are held at 9:30 a.m. both in person and livestreamed on YouTube, with Sunday School available during the school year. Pastor Nate Sutton leads this growing and active community committed to anti-racism work and to serving as a source of transformative love and connection for all who seek it.
